Application:

Mix coating thoroughly and apply with a heavy-duty sprayer, deep-pile paint roller or roofing brush, keeping strokes in one direction.

Drying:

Usually 6-24 hours in hot and dry weather conditions. Drying will be slower, 2 to 7 days in cool, damp weather. Allow to dry completely between coats. Allow Non-Fibered Emulsion 197 to fully dry for a minimum of 48 hours prior to application of roof surface coatings.

Important:

Do not apply if rain or temperatures below 50°F (10°C) are expected within 24 hours. Do not heat container or store at temperatures greater than 110°F (43°C). Do not allow coating in pail to freeze. Not for use over plywood, walking decks, EPDM, PVC, Hypalon, or TPO single ply membrane, Kynar® / Hylar® coated metal roofs, shingles of any kind, or old roofs that are too dry and brittle to withstand the shrinkage stresses that occur after the application of any coating. Application over hot applied asphalt may not prevent alligatoring.
