Easily Attracts Dirt
Silicone roof coatings easily attract air-borne dust and dirt. Over time, these dust and dirt particles build up, causing the coating system to lose its reflective properties. This makes the roof more susceptible to excess UV radiation which in turn, negatively impacts cooling cost and internal building temperatures.
Can Be Challenging to Spray
As with any solvent-based coating, silicone roof coatings can be difficult on hydraulic spray equipment. Issues during the installation process are less likely to occur if the spray equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
Very Slippery When Wet
