March isn’t just about welcoming spring; it’s also a time to reflect on women’s remarkable strides throughout history. In a traditionally male-dominated field like roofing, women’s presence and contributions have been increasingly significant. As we celebrate Women’s History Month, it’s time to spotlight some of the women at American WeatherStar who are reshaping the roofing industry and paving the way for the future. These women deserve to be celebrated!
- Kimberly Davis - National Accounts Manager (10 Years)
- Kristin Dixon - Director of the Business Development Center (11 Years)
- Mandy Arceneaux - Senior Administrator/FAST Director (10 Years)
- Lisa McIntyre - Senior Account Executive (17 Years)
- Katie Lott - Chief Administrative Officer (18 Years)
The roofing industry has been largely perceived as a male stronghold for decades. However, courageous women have been breaking down barriers and making their mark in this field. From cold calling in our Business Development Center, roof walks in the field, spearheading an industry-leading training course, to being a Chief Officer, women assume roles at every level of the business, challenge stereotypes, and prove that gender is no obstacle to success.
One of the most inspiring aspects of the roofing industry’s progress is women’s empowerment through education, training, and mentorship. Organizations like the National Women in Roofing (NWiR) have played a pivotal role in providing support networks, resources, and opportunities for women to thrive in the industry. Whether it’s breaking through glass ceilings, overcoming obstacles, or simply excelling in their roles, every success story is a testament to women in the roofing industry.
