We recently held a fundraiser for Sickle Cell research and awareness. This fundraiser hit close to home as American WeatherStar has two employees with family members affected by the disease.
In September, we participated in the Strike for Sickle Cell 2019 bowling fundraiser hosted by the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America – Mobile Chapter. We sponsored the event this year. Click here to visit our Facebook page and view photos from the bowling night event on September 12, 2019.
In addition to bowling, we also held a raffle with several prizes and included a live drawing of all the winners. Donations were collected throughout September and into October.
We finally had a chance to tally all of the numbers and are excited to announce that we had a total of $7166 in donations, making it our biggest fundraiser yet! Proceeds went directly to the Mobile Chapter of the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America.
Thank you to all of the family, friends, and colleagues who donated to our fundraiser.
