- Surface Preparation
Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and free of contaminants. Metal surfaces must be free of oil and rust. Primers may be required for certain substrates.
- Mixing/Equipment Setup
Use a 1:1 proportioning pump designed for SPF. Precondition materials to 70°F–85°F before spraying. Dispensing temperature should be 130°F for optimal performance.
- Application Methods
Apply with a plural-component spray system. Available in fast, regular, and slow reactivity speeds to suit ambient conditions. Ensure uniform thickness and proper overlap adhesion.
- Coverage Rates
Thickness varies by R-value requirements and warranty specs. Standard applications range from 1 to 4 inches, with an R-value of 6.3 per inch.
- Cure Time
Tack-free in seconds, fully cured in 24 hours under normal conditions. Cure times depend on temperature, humidity, and reactivity speed.
- Limitations/Precautions
Do not apply below 50°F unless using a low-temp formula. UV protection required post-application to prevent degradation. Keep materials dry, as moisture can affect performance.
- Storage/Handling
Store at 70°F–85°F in a sealed container. The B-side drum must be kept under dry air or nitrogen (2-3 psi) after opening. A-side shelf life 24 months. B-side shelf life is 6 months.
- Cleanup/Disposal
Clean equipment with approved solvents immediately after use. Dispose of materials per local, state, and federal regulations.
