Butyl Seam Tape
Engineered for reliable seam reinforcement and waterproofing, Seam Tape features a pressure-sensitive butyl rubber adhesive bonded to durable Dupont Sontara® Fabric backing. Its flexible formulation remains pliable in low temperatures to accommodate substrate expansion and contraction, while providing aggressive adhesion for an immediate watertight seal. Seam Tape is VOC compliant and environmentally safe.

- Surface Preparation
All surfaces to be treated with Butyl Seam Tape must be clean, dry, and free of any loos particles or other foreign matter. Peel off release liner.
- Application
Apply exactly to desired area. Trying to remove Butyl Seam Tape may damage the tape or substrate. Press down firmly starting at the center and working towards outside edge, removing bubbles. Some wrinkling should not affect seal or product performance. Edges must have no openings, funnels or fishmouths. Immediate, water tight bond can be achieved and full cured bond within 24 hours.
