To qualify as an American WeatherStar Approved Contractor, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria as part of the application process. Below is a breakdown of the requirements for each approval tier, along with guidelines for advancing to higher levels of recognition.
Tier Requirements
Approved
- Licensed and insured contractor
- Commercial roofing experience
- No prior approvals from other manufacturers required
Platinum
- Licensed and insured contractor
- Commercial roofing experience
- Substantial experience with roof coatings
- Approved by other notable industry manufacturers
Platinum Elite
- Licensed and insured contractor
- Commercial roofing experience
- Substantial experience with roof coatings
- Approved by other notable industry manufacturers
- At least one Certified Applicator on staff
- Commitment to American WeatherStar quality standards
Advancing Your Status
Moving to Platinum
- Install a minimum of three (3) American WeatherStar systems
- Each project must be at least 5,000 sq. ft.
- Must include at least one flat roof and one metal roof
- All installations must pass warranty inspections conducted by American WeatherStar (at our expense)
- Must maintain an average inspection score of 8 or higher on a 10-point scale
Moving to Platinum Elite
- Employ at least one (1) Certified Applicator
- Meet the following quality standards:
- Install and pass inspection on at least 100,000 sq. ft. of American WeatherStar systems annually
- Maintain an average inspection score of 8 or higher on a 10-point scale
